FAQ
on Bleach |
|
Q.1.
|
Why
does skin turn red after bleaching ? |
| |
Since
bleaching is an exothermic (gives out heat) reaction, it sometimes
causes vasodilatation in cases where the blood vessels are
very close to the surface of the skin. The excessive blood
flow causes a flushed look to appear. Some ladies like this
look. However, it is temporary and goes away in an hour or
two. Application of ice will make it disappear faster. |
|
Q.2.
|
What happens when excess activator powder is used ? |
| |
This
will break the Hydrogen peroxide much faster and the bleaching
process will be more vigorous. It will also cause more irritation.
Beauty parlors employ this on the hands and neck area. Since
the skin in these regions is not as sensitive as that of the
face and they get results in a shorter time. Vice-versa is
also true. |
|
Q.3. |
Is bleaching harmful for the skin ? |
|
Bleaching
is providing oxygen to the skin. Hydrogen peroxide is a strong
antiseptic, which removes the bacteria and other pimple causing
microorganisms from the skin. In fact a derivative of Hydrogen
peroxide is the most popular anti-pimple active ingredient. |
|
Q.4.
|
How
frequently one should bleach ? |
|
Ideally,
once in 15 days. Repeated use of bleach is safe and good fore
skin as it cleans and makes the skin breathe easier other
than camouflaging the hair to match skin colour. |

FAQ
on FEM Hair Removing Cream |
|
| Q1.
|
What's
the difference between the various at-home methods of hair
removal; shaving, depilation and waxing ? |
| |
Shaving is one of the simplest and most
commonly used methods of hair removal, but also lasts the
shortest amount of time because hair is removed at skin level
only and hair reappears in one to four days. In addition,
shaving actually stimulates the hair follicle which speeds
up the regrowth process causing hair to grow not only faster,
but thicker and coarser than before-much like a man's beard.
Depilatory
cream Chemically dissolves hair at the skin's surface, and
is then rinsed away with water. This method is much more feminine
and leaves the skin silky smooth.
Waxing
warm or cold wax is applied to the skin encasing each hair.
The wax is then stripped off to remove hair from below the
skin's surface. |
